elcome to Jack Daniel Employees’ Credit Union.
Founded in 1977, Jack Daniel Employees’ Credit Union
provides a wide range of financial products with a personal touch
and genuine concern for our members that sets us apart from other
financial institutions. Credit unions were formed with one concept
in mind, “people helping people”.
This simple idea created an enormous movement by groups of individuals
sharing a common bond to put member savings together, keep overhead
costs to a minimum, and make wise investments, then return profits
to the members.
This idea continues today at Jack Daniel Employees’
Credit Union. As a not-for-profit financial institution,
created to serve the financial needs of the employees of Jack Daniel
Distillery, credit union earnings are returned to members in the
form of higher dividends on savings, lower interest rates on loans,
and low cost financial services. Membership in Jack
Daniel Employees’ Credit Union not only provides
you with quality financial services but also entitles you to have
a voice in your credit union through a member-elected board of directors
who establish credit union policies. These policies are then carried
out by the management and staff of Jack Daniel Employees’
Credit Union.
Every year your credit union is examined by the State of Tennessee,
Department of Financial Institutions, Credit Union Division, to
ensure safety and soundness. The Supervisory Committee, volunteers
from among the membership who are appointed by the board of directors,
conducts periodic exams of internal procedures including an annual
audit of the financial statements.
Once a member, always a member is Jack Daniel Employees’
Credit Union’s policy. If you move away, change
your place of employment or retire, your membership lasts a lifetime
by simply maintaining your share account. As an employee or retiree
of Jack Daniel Distillery, your family is also eligible for membership.
